Paste a YouTube link. Press the big button. Fetch the transcript.
Clean transcripts for ChatGPT and other LLMs, with time-stamped lines for deeper context.
Structured Transcript
This gives LLMs deeper context because each line is tied to a precise moment. Reason with evidence.
Simple Transcript
Just the words, no timestamps. Perfect to paste into ChatGPT or other LLMs.
How to use it (3 quick steps)
1) Paste the video ID
Example: 8ONFDEGR4K8. You can also paste the full YouTube link.
2) Press “Fetch Transcript”
We fetch and clean the captions in seconds, then show both transcript types for you.
3) Copy to your AI
Both Simple and Structured work with all LLMs. Pick Simple for plain text, Structured for timestamps.
Tips for better results
Click to open In the Structured Transcript, click the timestamp badge to open the video in a new tab.
Long video? Copy one part at a time (like chapters).
Need a moment? Keep timestamps so you can say “check [00:24:10]”.
Tell the goal Like “find definitions” or “summarize arguments”.
About the header
When you copy, we prepend a tiny "helper header" to your clipboard. It includes: the video title, a link to the source, and a short role/instruction for the AI. This primes the model with context so it stays on‑task and cites the right material.
Why? The header frames the task (role + goal) and provides the source (title/link), improving logic.
Optional Don’t want it? Use the copy dropdown and choose “No Header”. You can also edit the header text before pasting.
Both work Simple (no timestamps) and Structured (with timestamps) can be copied with or without the header.
